Aside from when you have zero ground clearance and end up cutting your footpegs down so THEY dont drag. Like I did. You do NOT want your toes that far out

    haha golf club... nice

Basically I position my foot so that my toe slider would drag JUST after the peg would drag... that way the peg is the limiting factor.

Then turn my foot a bit so I can get all the weight on the ball of the foot and dig my heels into the heelplates and/or swingarm.

Shawn, once you get used to it, it will become 2nd nature. You wont even have to think about. You smoked around the track pretty damn good bro.

    Here's more:
Your boot sole is not often flat on the footpeg, rather the end of your footpeg should be the point of contact to the sole of your boot.

So you should be on the outside ball of your foot? I think I'm seeing how this makes weighting the outside peg easier.

Most riders place the footpeg end in the middle of the ball, between the big toe and the little toe. I'll take a photo of my boot tonight and post it for reference. Someone out there must have a good action photo showing this??

So its more of the Ball of the foot and the end of the Peg as the pivot point....hmmmm I shall work this and tape my feet to the pegs in the right place then I won't have to wrrrry at all Just when I STOP...

chris and I were having this exact conversation at NJMP and I do what you're explaining Ken, not neccessarily on purpose but chris asked me to hop on his bike and show him how i lean off - i guess it just happens - in all honesty I thought i was doing something wrong because it looks odd when not moving
