Given the choice, why would you NOT run one?

    Tire warmers sometimes don't fit.

Not required, although depending how your brake lines are run, you may have to rig something up to keep them off the tire.

You'll probably want a fender in the rain. I know on the sv you do.

Some bikes run cooler without them. It can make a big difference on a 2 stroke.

You (Oxx, not Sheppo unless he's running an SV) will also want that little rubber flap over the front plug that you probably don't have.

    We do not require them.

However, as mentioned, there are two things to concern yourself with.

1 - routing of brake lines. Be certain they cannot contact the tire.

2 - depending on your fork style, the fender sometimes protects the tubes from rocks, etc.

Re: Front Fenders on a Track Bike

So a good point was brought up, Brake lines. Would zip-ties constitute a good way of making sure they don't contact the tire?
(assuming here that said zip-ties were not installed in such a manner that they would move with the suspension )

    Yes, zip ties are fine.

Just check regularly that nothing is rubbing through the lines.
