What is the fee for using a credit card? It says there is a processing fee on the website but I can't see how much the fee is.

    Thanks,

Don't worry Clayton you'll scrape the dust off the first time you go through turn three.

Warning to the LAPS attendees! If Clayton does attend give him a lap or two to make sure he can keep it on two wheels through turn 3 before you follow him in there.

Disclaimer: In no way is Clayton a dangerous rider! I am just giving him a hard time about a prior incident which we both came through relatively unscathed.

Unfortunately, I won't be there for the 8/31 event as I'll be at Bonneville for the Motorcycle Land Speed Trails. But I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again for the September date and next year !!!!

Last time I listen to anyone else about tire warmers!

"Nah, you don't need them on a trackday."

I have 15mph in turn 3 on pit out that will disagree with that statement.

I'll never run the track without warmers again. And T3 can hurt. And break levers. And mark helmets. Fucker.

    Re: LAPS

This is a question for the LAPS guys:
According to your website, you do not list much for bike prep such as removing mirrors, taping up lights, removing plates etc. According to your site there really is no track prep. Is this true?

Also, what is going to be provided by LAPS? Food? drinks? instructors? Etc? The site does not list a typical day.
This all seems different than other track days that I have done. Just looking for the clarification. I am assuming that I am not the only one thinking of these questions just the first to ask.

I have done your track days in the past and had a blast so I am hoping that this will at least be on par with them.

    Thanks,
    Nathan

I don't want to speak officially... but I'll chime in what I can. The site at the moment was a "get it up quick, we only have a month!" gig... thus the sparse content and information, MUCH more will come

From what I've gathered all the rules and general order of things will be the same as past LAPS events. Taping lights and removing mirrors are pretty standard, and I know there will be plenty of instruction.

    Hey Nathan,
Ryan answered most of your questions, but Mike said he will be on later and give the official answers.

I'm not going to the 8/31 date, but I am working on signing up for the 9/28 date right now. Can anyone tell me if there will be a tire vendor at the 9/28 date? And if so, what kind (please say Pirelli, please say Pirelli)? My tires won't make it a full day.

Similar question, is S&C there for these events? Not sure which I'm going to be able to make, but if S&C will not be there I'll want to bring some wearables (levers at least) just in case.

    Re: LAPS

OK..sorry for the delay guys (and gals). My work schedule doesn't allow me to sit in front of a computer every day...

The LAPS days, as always WILL include lunch, we DO NOT shut the track down during lunch, which means each group continues on their ride schedule throughout the lunch hour...(translate: each group GAINS 1 additional session each, and the track will remain open from 9am until 5pm when the track closes - and as a result, we are able to offer maximum track time)

The track lets us enter the facility at 7, and we'll begin on-track operations (on time) at 9am.

    We also run a FULL staff of cornerworkers (S/F, T1, T2, T3, T5, T8, T10, T11) as well as 2 ambulances....just in case.

We will, as always, have instructors on hand. The same instructors as always, and maybe a couple new faces that we've asked to help us out.

As always, Street & Comp will be available at LAPS events offering parts, and Bridgestone tire service.

And we also have (for Aug 31) Dyno service provided by RJ's in Nashua. So if you wish to have your bike dyno'd while you are there, it will be available to you.

Each rider is responsible to provide their own drinks/snacks throughout the day, but we will be providing lunch to each registered rider (sorry, no friends or family unless they're a registered rider as well).

The days will run exactly like our past events. We will be offering some classroom instruction for the novice riders to get them acclimated and as comfortable, and as safe as possible.

Instruction is offered on an individual basis for the Intermediate and Advanced groups, but it's up to the rider to seek this instruction form the Instructors assigned to their group.

I think that's all the questions I've seen so far. If anyone has additional questions, please either post them in this sectioin, or send me a PM.

    Mike
