chuck, i think i'm going to grab a case of water bottles if the 3 of us want to split them. you, me and eric. if doc goes anywhere near those bottles, i will pee on all of them. and to my knowledge, Nazo is the only pee drinker that will be at the track tomorrow

Sounds good. I'm also bringing up some SmartWater for some electrolytes. I could do a couple of bottles for the 3 of us as well.

No you're not, I passed you on 106 as I was LEAVING the track. : ) Looks like there was a truck / trailer combo at the Shell station gassing up and headed your way, bet they have a ramp.

new battery is in and reads 12.5v at 5000rpm. hope that's right cause I really don't want the bike to die while out on track and have to sit there sweating my ass off waiting for a ride back to the pits.

you should be ok, those bikes are notorious for charging low. if you do have problems a charger in between sessions will save your day.

I'm hoping it was the only problem. doing 3 days last week and the bike died on my right after pulling in. wouldn't even crank. tried another guys battery and it was good for the one session I rode with it. the battery I took out I believe was the original. so 9 years was a good life for it. stupid thing is the service manual says it should charge at >15.5v at 5000rpm but makes no mention of what's too low. old battery would read 11.1 but wasn't enough to even turn the engine once.

I'm bringing my charger with me just in case.

rectifier regulators and stators are common on theese, but the most common is a battery. I'll be instructing at the track ex 844 see me if you need help.
