reading the rider prep, you don't need one at all.... But i wouldn't reccommend that...


I feel a lot more protected and more confident when wearing one...

You DEFINITELY want to be protected out there. You work in a hospital so I am sure you know what can happen and how fast it happens when things go wrong..

as a volt firefighter and ems... i can tell you ive seen more accidents then wanted... including a friend with a severed carotid and jugular, another with a smashed pelvis (105lb female) and a 200+ lb male with a broken femer, avulsion on leg etc.. so i love protection!

I have a back pad that came in an old jacket of mine. its CE level 1 rated. the same stuff a lot of companies use for armor (the kind without the hard plastic). nothing like the flimsy piece of foam that's not even good enough for a chair that most companies put in the back. It goes in the pocket in a jacket, no straps on it. I'll try and dig it out sometime and bring it with me.

New Jackie, you can borrow my back protector. No offense to BCR929 but fuck one that's in the leathers, it'll move if the leathers do. Use mine if you don't get one, it'll cost you nothing.
