If you have Thursday off, come on up and watch... then decide for yourself.

Our back to back event on July 23/24 should have a lot of forum members riding and hanging out for the "party".

Okay. Let me see if I get this...

You want a world-class road course, built specifically for motorcyles. You'd like it in your neighbor's back yard and you'd rather not pay to use it, or pay very little. And you want US to do your homework...

Just wanna make sure I'm following ya...

the only "trackday" that NHIS "sponsers" is open practice on thursdays and /or fridays before a race weekend. but you need a race license and there will be racers out there with you doing racer things. no passing rules and no groups based on ability. i also dont know if they allow street bikes. its cheaper but you dont always get a full day.

Tonys is all day. you dont have to eat his food and the day doesnt stop for lunch. you will get 7 (i think) 15-20 min sessions with passing rules and groups based on ability/experience

LAPS is also all day. with groups and passing rules. you get a discount for being an NESR member ($189).

im used to paying $0 for trackdays since i used to work for one. but our pricing was about the same.

What you are looking for doesn't exist in the northeast. Tracks here are expensive, and are normally rented out by a sponsoring org. If you have a racing license, there are some Thursday sessions at Loudon that are similar to the deals in FL, but still more expensive. These are run on the thursday before LRRS race weekends. It's 100 bucks for a half day, or occasionally 150 (??this may have gone up) for a full day.

That said, At Tony's days you can get a lot for your money. Instruction for those who want, and loads of tracktime for those who don't. I instruct for Tony, and I've been to a number of other days around the country. I've never seen an operation run as well as Tony's. Not even close actually. Start is ON TIME, track does not close for lunch, 2 ambulances to avoid long delays, and a real cornerworking crew for safety.

would you like me to get the toilet paper so I can wipe your ass too?!?

what part of Florida are you from? Have I seen you on the ole R6/R1messagnet before?

Life's just plain and simply more expensive up here - these are your options - which I'd like to say are great ones! And as for weekends - if you want to do trackdays you're looking at weekdays only!

    Good Luck!

Im not really willing to shell out 250 unless its a school
Tony doesn't charge 100 bucks just for lunch and it's 8 sessions instead of the usual 7 that most other people run.

I agree w/ Tony... come up & check it out... if you cornerwork ya get money off & you can always find deals as well. I just saw someone selling a Tony's Track day for 170 bucks.

You aint going to find sympathy here .... BTW, it is located between shit and syphillis in the dictionary.

The market bears the pricing structure and I have never seen an empty trackday where no one signed up.

You also get what you pay for ... I won't have a problem paying Tony's
usurious rates. I mean ... he is getting filthy rich off of his ignorant captive
audience ... last I heard, he is ranked sixth behind Bill Gates in income.

All of us here are interested in getting him to the number 2 if not the number
    one spot in income.

    /* sarcasm off */

BTW, most reputable track SCHOOLS charge a hell of a lot more than 250 a day.

Where most people get a hair across their butt is when someone asks a legitimate question and 4 or more competent people take the time to give a cogent and coherent answer. Then the reponse is that answer is either not good enough or is what they don't want to hear.

As for us picking on you because you are a noob ... nope ... you are not that special. We reserve much harsher treatment for the regulars ...

ie ... Kham and speeding tickets or police
    Firefly and bike maintainence.
Arguing that Nazo DOES drink his pee!
Oreogitoreo is jesus christ ... and so on.
GMD has a problem with NESR member's suspensions ... they aren't good enough.

Ball busting with the truth is strongly encouraged as the only time you will see a delusional member is when they are under the influence around a campfire. May God have mercy on them if they do pass out with their shoes on!

Feel free to dish it back out ... denial is not a river in egypt or new hampshire for that matter.

Oh ... and NEVER piss off the Beet or the Forum Nazi!

Yeah, I'm sure you'll get used to the Northern Hospitality.... but you won't get used to the lack of tracks

NHIS will be VERY different from Jennings... but variety is good.

does things differently how? pricing? you have to understand that in FL you can ride year round. you can afford to cut prices a little because you dont have any "down time". up here the season is limited so they up the price a little. im sure in the long run it costs about the same. also dont forget that you are in a different state with different ins. costs (which you need to be on a track) you cant expect a track day co. to take all the hit on Ins. costs. they are trying run a business. maybe UNICEF will have trackday and it will be free. one more thing. Jennings inst the only game in town. you have Daytona, North FL motorspots park, moroso, and Homestead. thats competition. so costs go down. not to mention the half dozen (at least) trackday Co. that operate at these tracks. that also drives down the cost. people are competing for you business down there and the only thing that appeals to people are $$ signs.

up here you have NHIS. thats it. 1 track that can charge whatever they want for someone to rent it from them because there is no competition from anyone. and as far as i know. not including the Penguin school. there are only a few TD Co. that operate through NHIS. 2 of them are on this site. team pro motion i think is the only other one. you are NOT in FL anymore. youre just gonna have to get used to it.

    let me sum it up.

no competitor + lots of middle man + lots of hidden cost = higher cost. sucks for customer who doesn't have a lot of $$ to spare.

I STILL can't figure this out. Talking to many of my New England counterparts, it would seem our 'serious property tax' is quite a myth. Also consider that we have no STATE income tax and no sales tax. This must be why NH has the lowest tax burden in the northeast. We've been over this time and time again here. It's simply not accurate...

Back to the topic's arguement now...
