    March VIR

    Who's down?
I don't even know when/what but I know we (NESRians) normally do a March trip.

    Re: March VIR

I cant speak with any true knowledge on the subject, but I believe since Boston Moto is hosting 3 events there this season many who normally go to the season kickoff and season end at VIR will just hold out for Boston Motos june and then sept events.

Just what I figured would happen is all....

    True.

No offense to my BostonMoto buddies but a VIR trackday in June or September doesn't hold as much interested for myself and probably some others thou compared to a March date (thou def good odds I'll be signing up for a June/Sept date!! booya!). Sure it's going to be a kickass time in June etc but...

Main reasons I'm asking about March...

    1) I've been locked in my house all winter and off my bike since early October. I WANT TO RIDE
    2) March date gives a great shakedown of the 2009 race/trackday bike and gets you ready for the season.

This is why I'm asking about March dates and if anyone else is thinking about them.

    I agree 100%.

I too would like to get out there sooner rather than later. If I were you I would aim try for early april rather than march. As many who have been in March can tell you the weather has a significant chance of sucking. While sure its still fun if its cold and rainy, its more fun if its warm and sunny.

    Re: March VIR

We tentatively booked a mid March 2 day event and cancelled it because it is just too risky with the weather.

Now, if we had a list going here and could get 50 people to go around the 15th march for two days, paying $175 a day, we might be able to arrange something. heh heh.

350 for 2 days is short money at VIR...

I hustled the idea on JRO and Seth505 today over lunch so maybe we can get them to join in the fun

Hmm I want to go!! Must check calender and bank account. Love VIR north course.

I also really want to go Barber Motorsports . NESBA has an event there on March 1st for $205. The trip down and back scares the ass off of me though.

    Re: March VIR

OK Folks, we might have enough people to actually make this happen.

Boston Moto can get the North course on the 16/17/18 March. Cost will be around $160 per day IF we can get 50 people there! I know Daviid is working on the local area and has 13 or so probables. We seem to have about 15 here so far so we are on our way.

Boston Moto can bring 4 or 5 bikes in our trailer for fuel cost. (probably about $175 per bike round trip). Southwest airlines have a round trip flight price of about $250 round trip from this area (Providence or Manchester) into Raleigh/Durham.

Weather is up in the air. It could be mid 70's and sunny, could be rainy, could be in the high 40's.

So, again, who is in? I'll list the possibles here.

Names cut/pasted here. Delete your name if you can't/don't want to go.
