    Re: maybe a dumb question

What do you currently have for gear?

You can rent suits from some TD orgs, but most TD orgs don't require full leathers, just full motorcycle specific gear and maybe a back protector.

BostonMoto will rent you a suit through Seacoast Sport Cycle. They have a pretty good 'intro to track days program' too!!!

Have a look at the Boston Moto Web site for details. Tony's Track Days will have details on their site too. Or feel free to PM any of us...!!!

(Oh...and give this some serious thought. 9 out of 10 motorcyclists who try a track day become seriously addicted. It's a gateway experience to more fun than should be legal!!!)

Or maybe someone will let you borrow a spare of theirs.

I've loaned out my spare leathers at TTD events more times than I can count. I've never seen someone not be able to do a trackday for lack of being able to borrow whatever gear they don't own.

However, that said, full riding gear is a GREAT investment, which you'll probably end up making anyways once you do a trackday and have that much fun once.

Well... technically EVERY track day organization does, cuz you can always go straight to them to rent, I believe.

    Not a dumb question:

Penguin Sportbike School rents Vanson leathesr, TCX boots, Arai helmets, and even Ducati motorcycles if you need.

Poke around the website. The Level 1a - Track Experience taught by 30x LRRS Champ and #1 plate-holder Scott Greenwood sounds right up your alley.

As they say, the only dumb question is the one you don't ask.

Looks like you got quite a few answers here.
