Im going and was wondering if anyone else was heading up the night before.
if so we could meet up and get a car train going
im prob leaving about 5 PM fri night from the nashua area.
I am doing both saturday and sunday, will drive up Friday night. Leaving around the same time (3-4 PM) from South Boston.
I wish I was going.. 😩
I just signed up yesterday after seeing the forecast...81 deg & sunny. This track is only 65 minutes door to door for me...never thought that day would come LOL
Not in this weekend but thinking strongly about ponying up the $50 for a membership. Cheap track time compared to NHMS.
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
I'm going for member days Aug. 9-10. Leaving from Amesbury.
I don't have that much foresight in my life, I'll probably be in for a number of weekends this summer though. Low(er) cost and weekend riding makes this place pretty awesome. 220 miles away not so much. It would definitely help a lot to get someone to car pool. I've got space for another bike plus camping gear in my trailer. Might need to get a NYST member days thread going.

Just found out TPM is riding at NYST tmrw too. WTF? Nothing against them but I thought "Member days" were exclusive to members??? I see TPM has many more dates listed that fall on NYST memeber days, i.e. July 12 (my other registed date).
So much for the small groups huh? I hope they aren't shooting themselves in the foot with the legal stuff being still unresolved.

I never heard of TPM. I take it they do Trackdays
Quick Update...novice group Sat. was a cluster fk. Nothing against TPM & their "ART" schools (great program) but trying to combine that into the same novice sessions + no passing except for straights, left a constant traffic jam. Their 2 groups spread out about 100 yrds each always left choke points. I was so fustratrated that I asked TPM Coach Brett (great guy btw) to do a eval & after 1 lap I got bumped to I. When I rode last month with just a NYST members day, novice was fine due to the low numbers. There were many times where I was stuck going ~20 mph in turns...not what I signed up for
On a positive note...that first "I" session I finally got my knee down (turn 15) after getting to move a long at a nice pace. I continued refining my body positioning tech that I worked with NYST Coach Mike on May 17 date & apparently it paid off. Following that session, I added 4 more different turns of knee dragging. For me the last piece of that puzzle was getting my head & upper body more off the tank & to the side. That was a personal goal of mine & seemed to be elusive
So in summary, I think the "I" & "E" groups were like any other t-days making for a great day. Maybe the novice got better & faster in the PM sessions but still glad I got out. My advice to any NYST member that considers signing up...check TPM's website & see what "joint" dates are planned...there are quite a few. Then if you plan to ride novice on the joint dates, you'll know what to expect.
PS NYST goes back to court next Friday, June 13th. So everything may change anyway. NYST asked for anyone wanting to show support to come...they plan to post more info on their FB page.

I was there. Yes, the folks in TPM's novice group this weekend were... interesting. What lap times are you putting down at NYST?
Size of groups is moot. Any track day (Penguin, TTD) seems to have rouhly the same number of people. NYST member days get you access on the weekends as opposed to weekdays (I'd rather use vacation days for other things), and it's hard to staff and keep a whole track open for only 10 people.
