Anyone know what's going to happen for people like me who bought the Groupon for NYST for this year? Will we be SOL or are still allowed to have "member" days?

Nobody knows anything for sure at this point.

The lawyers will fight it out, and then we'll know.

My guess is that small groups of riders will still be allowed. I don't think the 250cc requirement can be enforced... but a noise level could be.

and I kick myself for not riding MMC and will kick myself again if I don't get a chance at NYST. I'll hit Club Motorsports right away if it ever opens. same for Palmer. and same for Thompson but I'm not so worried about that one having too many problems.

If Jim can't get last place, he doesn't want anything to do with it.

You'll only be out the track days, not your money. Groupon refunds money on "out of business" purchases.

I made that mistake while i was racing lrrs. Riding new tracks mighr seem like a waste of time and money, but it isnt. You wont go back to loudon and instantly go faster, but you will be a better racer.

The skills you pick up riding new types of corners and learning to find the line will fill in a lot of gaps in your riding/racecraft. Especially when you get off line or need to take a new line to get around someone without hesitating. NYST in particular is good because of the changing camber and double apexes.

If you can approach the bowl for example as a double apex instead of a swooping wide entry, you can ride through traffic like its not even there.

i agree Paul. This season, i'm racing at Roebling, CMP, Summit, VIR, NJMP, NHMS, and Daytona.
like i said, i'm not interested in tracks that aren't on the CCS schedule.

Well said. I felt that way about NJMP. But right after I rode it for the first time, T3 at NHMS got easier to ride.

Good. I'm about to rent a house in that area for a week in the beginning of August and a day or two at the track would be mighty nice.

There was some sort of ruling on the recent court actions...waiting for that stuff to be publicly released and then we'll know more about the upcoming season.

Seriously, I don't really have other options off hand. Not like I can reserve another track for the same day.

My guess is that we'll be able to run some bikes no matter what - might have to limit it to street exhausts only and 30 riders.

That is a silly requirement and should be a non issue. Noise is the problem so as long as all bikes are stock pipes, I doubt the cc thing will come up.

30 bikes on that track with street exhausts will sound like a sewing machine convention.
