Tony, is that email gonna cover arrival times? :)
OK, so to the small bike guys: You are in luck! if you have a motard or an SV those will be a perfect match for this steep and technical track. Also, you will have the advantage of NOT generating superman type wall ramming speeds through the fast transition corners. This is onecase where I think the literbikes will be at a disadvantage.
Oh, and Roland, Loudon gearing will be fine. Some slow corners with uphill acceleration being more important than straightaway speed. We were getting up to a quick intermediate pace and I only saw 100 or so on the straight which is not straight at all. Could even go with the 40!
It might be tough to carry 1st gear up T5. It's very steep and slow. I expect a fair bit of clutch work will be required at first.
Might be a good idea!!!
Down in the paddock they will be like, "Who's cutting trees up on the mountain???"
Keith's video?
Should we put down some tape on one side of the track with a sign that says "Slow traffic keep right?" :P
He posted this on FB.

Nice! I won't be there but I'll offer up my backpack leaf blower to get those dusty corners cleaned up!
Dude, you can barely see it in the video, but soo much dust was coming up off the tires that I was spitting it out of my mouth for the first 5 laps!
Should I bring tearoffs?
(Thanks Roland for re posting the vid)
Maybe...
They are spraying that green grass seed goop around the edges of the track today. That should keep the dust at bay. Like I said, it was so light, it cleaned off the line very quickly even with 10 bikes. It will come in quickly with the full group lapping. Also, we didn't have traction problems even with the dust. It was more of a mind f@$%. I'm guessing that the new tarmac is ULTRA grippy.
They will be using the truck sweeper Sunday night also to help clear the dust.
It's all a work in progress, but should end up nice.
As for arrival... Sunday night from 6 to 9pm, then anytime Mon morning starting around 6am. Please be respectful of the neighborhood and keep speeds down on the mountain road.
Also, if you have a loud exhaust (over 97db), be prepared to be singled out. They are doing sound checks to comply with ordinances. They will likely let you finish out this event but you will be uninvited to future ones.
See ya Monday Mornin :twothumb:
EDIT: Walmart 12 minutes away. Perfect! :lmao:
"The default sound limit is 96 decibels on the A scale measured at 50 feet from the track edge."

Curious what most bikes put out in terms of db
Let's just say if you've got a big twin, I4, or similar with a full exhaust you may want to rock some Db killers.
I suggest bring what ya got and we'll see how it goes.
However, since motorcycles are low on the totem pole - and noise is a big issue with the neighbors - it would sure be nice if everyone was as quiet as possible.
Man this whole annoyed neighbors - sound limits sounds like Nyst all over again. Deja vu.
