Re: Did my Penguin Basic School Today
And then you will quickly realize stringing together "fast" lap times as a non competitive track day, and dicing with people who are competing with you is entirely different, but hey, good luck.

Re: Did my Penguin Basic School Today
This thread delivers.
The real question is can you keep up with this kid who is half your age...

if you're slow then I'm slower than slow. you move pretty damn well on that old bike and plus you have that super special Polen training. and I only do track days. lets see what other excuses can I come up with...

Contrary to what Momma told you, not everything is about you. But it is true, it's not your fault.

Re: Did my Penguin Basic School Today
Wow, this is the first time a thread has been entertaining enough for me to sit back and read through 9 pages of posts.
That being said, I am truly convinced it's all a joke. He is definately real, he definately did penguin, and he is probably a cool guy. I think the truth is he is a cool guy who is just getting into racing, and was put up to this by a friend of his who is a regular racer and visitor of this site.
Think about it...The fact that he is referring to himself as "Plymouth's Fastest", along with the claims about some street run he does regularly being proof that he is good. It is all parallel to the Hell for Leather article (or whatever it's called).
I am convinced there is an NESR/LRRS regular out there getting a good laugh out of this whole thing. He/she may have even posted on it to fuel the fire.

This thread is getting boring.

Re: Did my Penguin Basic School Today
Do we really want to keep this going? Here's what happened to clarify. I asked someone on here for some help getting my bike safety wired, they told me about this forum. Some of you said I wasn't ready for Penguin, I went, did well, and wrote the 1st post in this thread. The rest is on you guys man!

What were you wearing when you were going so fast through your "practice"? Since you weren't wearing the TCX's?[/QUOTE]
Just my Speedo and flipflops.

The fact is this...You're a cocky, arrogant asshole. What you should have done to save space on the NESR database is title this thread "upcoming douche bag" and in the post, just explain who you are, how you can be identified and why people won't like you. I realize it would have taken the fun out of it, but that's basically what you've done here...
A wise thing to do would be to never tell anyone who you are in person. Unless this is just an epic end-season troll-fest I can't see how anyone would welcome your presence.
That being said, I just finished my first 2 track days today with TTD. At the end of my last session I really felt like I was flying and I was doing a 48. This was with a stock ER-6n (naked 650r) and no track or stupid street riding experience. The amount of things discussed and the obvious vast skills to still be learned (let alone mastered) was, in a word, overwhelming. Point being; for anyone to come onto a forum and, without having met the members discussing the posted topic, claim the things you have could only mean one thing... you have very few friends that like you, never were good with girls, and love attention(even negative) because you're otherwise the kid no one wanted to sit with at lunch in high school...sound about right?
Now you're just inviting me to start bragging...

#1 - I keep getting held up by Jim!
#2 - I slowed down in case Jim stuck this thumb out to bum a ride
#3 - it kept taking half a lap before I could stop asking myself "how did he get the bike over there?" then I'd come back around and it would start all over.

#4 - did Jim run out of gas? No that's his normal speed in T9.
#5 - I had to slow down to see how Jim drags knee in T3 with the bike standing straight up.
#6 - I skipped my race to help Jim bleed his brakes

Re: Did my Penguin Basic School Today
Just do some more trackdays and race if you want just don't be an ass and take someone else out. I was slow as shit in the 2 and only races I did so you wouldn't be the first novice to average 1:45's all weekend. :spit:

Re: Did my Penguin Basic School Today
Definitely not nesr's fastest mouth. I chatted with him for a bit last night when he returned my suit. I'd gladly go outta may way to help the dude again, and that should say something to at least some of you.
