Brian... if you think you're being humble, then I dont think you know what humble truly is.
Its one thing to SAY 'i need to get better' etc, and its another thing to believe/mean it.
The way you say (write) things comes off as cocky and thus, nullifies any belief that you really do thing you're a novice racer (novie racer... not novice rider). Simply saying it, in the middle of an otherwise brag-filled post isnt going to make people take you seriously.
Its like this constant argument between my wife and I about her needing to learn how to drive a manual transmission car... My wife will out of nowhere ask: 'Do you want to go teach me how to drive your car?' right as Im about to go away for a weekend or the weather is terrible, etc. Basically, there is no way that at that moment in time, that I will say yes. She KNOWS that my answer will be 'No' and is only asking because she knows thats what the answer will be... but she thinks that she will get 'credit for asking'. This is not the case... you dont get credit simple because you asked, when the underlying truth is that you dont mean it.
edit: i had started typing prior to your last post. that last one is more on the right track
