I used the street and comp blue 'quick car' gauge for a while. It was off by about 2 psi but I've never bled it. Thanks for the tip. I replaced it with a long acre digital gauge. It was cheap with great reviews on Amazon.
I use the CruzTools digital, which FWIW has read the same as the gage the TTD Pirelli guys use. I carry one always.

I had the harbor freight one...now I'm not sure about how consistent it is at all after reading these comments
so instead, I started using the Rotella pressure gauge on all my bikes, cars, blood pressure, etc.

Bourdon tubes are easy and cheap no reason a cheap one can't be accurate
I would think that they are most accurate near their intended use around 30 to 40 psi
