    Portimao trackdays

    Hey all,

How about joining me for three days on the best motorcycle track in Europe!
    http://www.nolimitstrackdays.com/aca...timao0513.html

I know this is a bit far fetched for most of you but it is a great deal and worth it if you can do it. This will be my third time visiting Portimao (9th time riding it and can tell you it is worth every penny to do so. If you have read any of the pro riders comments about it you know they also love riding this track. Because it is over three days you will have no problem getting up to speed and have a blast.

The cost for riding and lodging is a bargain at $810 USD (£499). That works out to be $270 a day including hotel! This is 3 days on the track, full use of the garages (electric too), hotel for 3 nights (Thu, Fri & Sat) & breakfast in the morning. By the way the hotel is very nice and right in the middle of the Faro entertainment district.

I have rented a bike for this in the past (a R6) which is transported down and back for you so no hassles at all. I found the R6 to be perfectly suited to the track but you power guys might want a litre bike to scare the crap out of yourself on the front straight. Just don't be embarrassed if I pass you in the breaking zone and go under you in turn one with my 80HP 13 year old bike (yes thats a challenge).
    http://www.nolimitstrackdays.com/aca...ire_Bikes.html

The Nolimits guys are a great bunch and run a nice event. They have good instructors and trackside tyre service (right in the garages) if you need it.

So knock one off your bucket list and come join in on the fun.

    Cheers, Brew

P.s. - If you have any more questions please pm me and I will do my best to help.
P.P.s. - Do also check out the other tracks these guys do in Europe, a really nice line up. Wish I was able to do the Brno one!

Sounds like a dream. Legit reason to cross the pond and I could use the family card for my reasoning with the wifey.

I attached the link from Nolimits website. http://www.nolimitstrackdays.com/aca...ire_Bikes.html

I used PR Trackbike Hire for the R6. The bike was solid, had some fork work done, piped & mapped, resprung in the rear, rain tyres on wheels, stands & tire warmers. Paul even switched it to GP shift for me also. Basically ready to go, just add fuel and you make the fun!

I have no experience with the other bike hire co's but if Mark at Nolimits recommends them this means they are solid. He doesn't like people being negative at his events.

    Re: Portimao trackdays

Well just got back yesterday from Portimao. Once again a great trip and my favourite track so far! If you can, put it on your bucket list of tracks to ride and make it happen. The elevation change is incredible which helps to create the blind turns which make it a trip to ride.

Here is a video of me on the last day for you to see what you missed. The guys flying by me were all racers (various clubs, BSB, Spanish series.. etc.) getting some pre-season practice in. Mostly on liter bikes to really rub it in! Cheers, Brew

Yes!! De-tuned for pump gas but I have kept it alive. Duczilla has had a fun world tour but is heading home. Maybe Graham can take her out for a spin this summer once we are back in the states.

Graham once Duczilla is back you are always welcome to take her for a spin. You must have many memories from riding her.

    steve, will do.....
that was such a fun bike to race. I remember one year I had to finish like 8th to win AM LWSuperbike...when the green flag dropped forgot all about rolling around and Duczilla won by 18 seconds.

I remember the first time I test rode it. Came in from practice and you asked me if it felt faster. I said a little but was very similar to my old SS... you then said thats funny you were 5 seconds a lap faster!

I do recall that moment.....that's the benefit of a big ole fat but flat torque curve....no head dyno pull just relentless pull all through the rev range
