    Back protection question?

I have a sixsixone upper body armor suit for offroad riding that has a hard spine protector in it. Is this OK to use under leathers for back protection at a trackday or even LRRS events?
This is the one I have
It seems to have more overall protection vs slipping a back protector under your suit.
    Thanks

    Re: Back protection question?

Normally all they do is slap your back to make sure they feel that it is hard, so I'd say its fine.

However, it looks like it may limit your movement a little?

I haven't tried it on under a leather jacket yet but for offroad, it really doesn't limit any movement. All it is is armor where you need it with mesh holding it in place.

I don't remember ever getting a slap on the back at any trackday or even LRRS tech

You will get one at VIR by the tall dude who runs start finish.

I know Tony has felt me up as well while waiting to get on the track.

Ive got no idea about LRRS tech.

    Re: Back protection question?

I want to say that a lot of places want CE approved stuff. But like stated above if they check it'll just be a slap on the back to make sure there's something there.

LRRS doesn't check gear at tech, or at all from my experience.

That would be fine for TTD.

They just check helmets. Ive run over to tech in my street clothes for a sticker. If things have changed this year they also dont require back protectors but it would be smart to ride with one.

So far, I like it. It is a little warm in the summer but with my gravity problems, It's a must
My only complaint is when I put it on, then put my riding shirt over it, the back protector always catches the shirt and it's a pain to uncatch it
