Racing Leathers for Fat riders

Hello All, I met a lot of you at the Lowell Bike night yesterday, and am really getting interested in doing some track time. I'm a Fat guy, and was wondering what Brand best fit us CMan God riders ?

Well regardless of Mondo and Scottie's abilities to answer the question I feel as though I might have some input being 330 lbs and 6' 4".

I personally have had good luck with the Joe Rocket suits as they come fairly large off the rack.

I think KB got some made custom from Spartan leathers (?)

I was thinking about getting in touch with Pilot to see if they could custom make me a set. I frequently see their ads in the back of the motorcycle magazines quoting $800 for a custom one piece suit.

Vanson also does custom leathers, they are a bit more pricy than the others but some would say if they were going to crash they would want Vanson leathers.

I currently wear a Pilot suit, and Josh at Pilot is very easy to deal with. Click the link on my signature to go to their website and you can download their custom suit measurement chart.

You could also call Josh at Pilot to see if a rack size suit could fit you. Unless you have unusual proportions, a rack size will probably work. Tell him I sent you.

i just ordered mine from PILOT.
josh is very easy to deal with.
you can save some money and get an off the rack suit, and they will tailor the legs/arms free of charge.
also the price has changed the advertised price in the back of the mags. is no longer valid.check their web page for correct pricing.they will send out an off the rack suit for you to try on (they pay shipping both ways).

I got a replica suit on the cheap from Spartan leathers, then needed some custom work to make it fit right.

If I was to do it again I would go the custom route for sure. I was in a bind back when I got mine & couldnt wait the time for a custom.

I got a Spartan. It's good for the price. A few complaints but nothing major. Next suit will be Tilt or Pilot.

I'm a big dude (5'10" 330). Vanson custom pants and a joe rocket sonic jacket. 180 degree zipper in the pants.....I'm getting a custom 1 pc for next season...Not sure which company I'm going through though....1 lowside in the current gear....The pants - not a scratch...The jacket has a few scuffs but held up great....

Yeah, just get a custom suit done.

BTW, they just jack the price up, their cheapest custom suit is now $650 iirc. In addition, if OP need it like now? you will probably have to a rack suit, I think Spartan need like 9~12 weeks between order to ship. It is however a great option when you order it during off season.
