Renting a Track bike for September 9,NHMS

Folks I have signed up for TTD on Sep 9 and am looking for a rental bike for that date.
I contacted Adrenaline Cycles but was informed that they may not be able to deliver a bike to Loudon that day because of other commitments.
Are there any other vendors that rent/deliver bikes at NHMS.

I may have to sell my spot if I am unable to secure a rental for that date.

Did you check with penguin? Of course you'd have to do their day.

Not comfortable riding that new Triumph? I am sure you could get some help getting it ready for tech.

I am getting there but not there yet, especially not with an expensive English machine.

They crash well and are a blast to ride on the track. The only expensive piece is the tank. I won't be there but I have a spare tank I bought off of someone who totaled their bike when hit by a car which is going to be my track tank. Assuming your street is a first gen, you're welcome to use it. It has a fuel pump so all you have to do is swap it over and ride. Takes all of 10 mins. I can send it to the track with any of the RSP guys, just shoot me a pm or I might miss your request.

Just remember that it is entirely possible to do a track day without crashing. Even I have done it 75% of the time.
One of the hardest things about riding my new SV toy on track days is that I am not familiar with it (like, at all!). I think there is some value in getting track time on YOUR bike. I would rather ride a machine that is at least vaguely familiar over something completely new, especially on my first day out there.

    That's just my opinion, obviously.

I do agree with that, but I am still kind of getting used the triumph's very good throttle response and honestly with the newborn and the 2.5 year old money is getting sooooooooooo fricking tight that I can't even begin to fathom the consequences of having to fix my street bike if things went south. Oh and that trumpy is soooo purrtyy and shiny..

I used to own an EX500 so I won't be totally unfamiliar.

I did consider buying Sheppo's bike but unfortunately I wouldn't have room for it in my garage and I also would need to find a place for my sorry a$$ when I get kicked out.

Re: Renting a Track bike for September 9,NHMS

Your solution is simple: don't crash!
    Net cost to you: $0

I don't have much experience to back this up, but it seems to me that most people make it out of track days without crashing.
I know I probably sound like a hypocrite here, but the idea that you are more likely to crash at a track day than on the street is completely backwards. Especially your first.

Last thought: Do you depend on the motorcycle for your livelyhood? If you were to crash it, what is the worst that would happen, short term?
I suspect you'd have to park it until funds permitted repair. A drag? Sure. End of the universe? Definitely not.

    Best of luck man.

I second the -ride your street bike- thought. Unless you make them, your tires aren't going to fly out from underneath the bike. Go out, have some fun, repeat.
I've been running my street bike, fwiw.

All of my bikes go from the showroom to the track.

When people ask me what I do, I explain that I am like "college for motorcycle riding" .

I then explain that we don't teach you how to ride your bike - but we teach you how to ride your bike better!.

Riding YOUR bike better is what we're all about.

My experience on the track and in your classroom sessions agree with this.
