I'm guessing the road course. Looks like nothing has been done past the planning stage.

The orange stakes and paint in the roadway? Site layout is the most important part of a project and eats up a LOT of time.
Once the site layout is done, it will not take a good sized crew long to excavate and lay a base for the roadcourse in an area that is already cleared

Nice! My folks lived in Thompson, I visited them often but I've never been to the racetrack there, I have no idea what the place originally looked like...

Yup that would be what I am going to buy...I live 20 minutes from this track we have friends that race pro-modified cars there, this would be awesome.

It will be ready for the start of the 2014 season so it's progressing just fine. I've already driven the layout - it's a mix of Loudon and NYST in that there are some sections within an Oval like Loudon - and you cross in and out of the Oval track.

The back section will be more of a "road through the woods" kind of thing - along the NYST lines.

As always - I'll update the forum as real new details come up.

They already have car racing that's why i thought they might do bike racing too.

This is incredibly close, I can wake up at 6:15 and be at the track before 7. No more hotel costs for this guy!

If it does happen, it will be on a small scale.

The new track has limitations on it due to using some of the Oval track - just like Loudon. Unfortunately, the CT track is so small you can't put as much airfence like we do at Loudon.

This is just my opinion, of course.

I can see car racing happening on the road course before bikes.

Absolutely can't wait for this. Having a track this close will make it much easier to have family or friends come check it out.
