can't be that critical!
When I was in aerospace I was working in Mechanical engine systems... all of our fuel controls got aluminum hardware, with 12 holes (2 on each side of each point of the hex head). There were specs on tension, and shape of the S (spec was the wire had to be mounted so that it covered 90-180 degrees of each bolt it secured). We also spec'd for the wire to be twisted in opposite directions after each bolt.
however, for racing, I agree... if the thing can't rotate a 1/2 turn or more, you're good.
I had to count twists per inch, length of pigtail, ensure no maring (couldn't use pliers) and ensure no gap what so ever when I worked in on and around nukes in the AF.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
Now nukes I can understand! None of us want something to fall off one of those!!
Actually if something fell off it won't go boom. lol

Unless you have a twist off gas tank good luck getting that safety wire to reach your gas cap that you have wired to the key.
Other than that the wire needs to be pulling the bolt tight.
However all that I saw will get you through tech no problem at NHMS.

Ive never seen them check header bolts.
my axle pinch bolts and caliper are drilled so the holes are both inside (facing each other), and run the wire tight in between.

When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

Also, be wary of who you have in tech. This year I have personally been told 4" numbers wouldn't pass (it's in the rulebook), and "Clips" in lieu of wire won't pass for pinch bolts, which is ridiculous. It always comes down to who you have and whether or not they want to find something to fault...
