Saturday:
7 hour trip plus 5 hours of traffic on the turnpike
1 trailer covered with tranny fluid
Triple A thinks a trailer is an RV and won't tow
1 crazy tow driver thinks I'm leaving my trailer on the interstate
Made it to Lightning by 8:30 pm (Thank you Gino!) and it was still 94
4 days to go inside NJMP with only 2 wheel transportation

Sunday:
9 bottles of water in the scorching weather
CCS runs 15 races in 1 day!

zero sunscreen (it is in the truck someplace outside of Millville) and zero shade
1 nasty sunburn
Monday:
107 degrees on the front straight, 104 in the shade by 10 am
2 bikes, at least 1 runs
3 sessions of riding, not happy with myself
One delicious dinner, two beers, one massive headache
Tuesday:
90 seems cool
5 sessions of riding
Better than yesterday but not my best
30 pack of beer and a bag of grocery on an RR
Zero people inside Thunderbolt infield
1 gorgeous golden moon
0 beer left by 11 pm
Wednesday:
4 private cars on Thunderbolt track
1 Mazda spins into the guardrail in the chicane
Needed a sweatshirt at 7 am (figures!)
1 torque converter and 2 seals for $1100
8 hours traveling home
Zero leaks!!
One very welcome bed at home!!
Thank you to all those that helped, especially Gino for saving me and my trailer from Rte 55 and then moving me from Lightning to Thunderbolt and to Graham for the transportation to get provisions and fuel!
