Based on piecing best times from sections of Loudon, Thunderbolt,Lightning and NYST, I'd be running a 1:15.321 at Tamworth. Beat that suckas

I can trace a map with my finger like nobody's business.

10.90 seconds, bichiz. First lap. Can probably shave off a few tenths in the back section.

What that doesn't show is the elevation changes which I hear are redonque.

All of a sudden we have lots of alternatives to Loudon. Does anyone thing NHMS will make any changes to stay relevant?

Tricky situation imho. With the market getting somewhat flooded with tracks, will they still fill the days and get a return on their investment?
There was always talk of a new track in the works for NHMS, even back in 03-04 (NHIS)when I was racing

There's considerable talk of NHMS repaving the NASCAR oval.... and with that, a reconfig of the entire back section. Soon.

NHMS is still the only track to offer racing as far as I know. They may lose some of the track day business, but I don't suspect they will see much of a dip in the LRRS numbers...unless one of these other tracks starts up a series.

The tracks that have opened recently haven't been able to offer racing. Thompson isn't designed to safely have races, and well, we all know the situation with NYST. I think once Palmer is open, and maybe Tamworth, there might be a chance of actually having events there. Here's to hoping anyways...

    Re: Tamworth PB's

I don't see Palmer as having motorcycle racing either.

No idea about Tamworth. Would be kind of cool to have a 2 venue race series though.

I know a bunch more TTD riders went racing this year, and I heard LRRS had the biggest number of Novice racers, so hopefully that will continue... and maybe a second venue will bring in even more racers.

    Re: Tamworth PB's

Is Tamworth still on schedule for the summer of 15? Even if it is completed on time more than likely they'll be catering to the high end car scene, no? That's their target demo anyway.

As you mentioned, I have heard that while it will open this year, it will be mainly reserved for those people that have memberships ... some of whom paid in many years ago.
