    Re: Tool Transport to Track

Definitely expensive, but cheaper than my tools, it fits in the back of my car, and was cheaper than the enclosed trailer that I would need to bring a more traditional, and also expensive, roll around toolbox. I thought the price was outrageous until I saw/used a friend's at the track. I used to bring my tools in a bag, and what I needed was always on the bottom. It is definitely built tough and is easily comparable to snapon or mac. There is a reason the old ones are so popular, and if mine lasts that long it will have been worth every penny.

I also use it for installing my artwork. It is not a track only toolbox.

You get what you pay for.

+1 the thing is really sick.

I am into the tools at every track day for one thing or another and the big bin I am using is a friggen nightmare to sift through. I wish I could justify it....maybe if I started doing 20 track days a year instead of 10 I could rationalize the need for the tool cart?

Yeah, I don't get the shock about the price... Have you guys seen what SnapOn stuff costs?

Manny, just get a Craftsman roller with ball bearing slides and call it done. Roll into trailer, strap it down, roll it into the garages when needed, etc.
You could even upgrade the casters if needed to make it easier to get in and out.

I'm sure this thing is great as it seems to have a cult following (and everyone who's used one will pay anything to have one), but $1400+ for what initially looks like a miniature radio flyer wagon seems high even by Snap-on standards. I'm sure it's extremely well made though, Hazet tools are really good.

I've never used one of these but I do like the idea though, and I think it's ideally suited to working on motorcycles at the track as the tools are positioned lower than a standard cabinet. Harbor Freight needs to knock this thing off and sell a crappy version for $29.95.

Just giving you are hard time, that tool box is the balls. Just for kicks I looked at the price of the high end craftsman's and was equally surprised, their high end tool boxes go for 700 and are smaller and do not have wheels.

I view tools as an investment... something you intend to keep for a long time. In mikes case especially I see that being a worthwhile investment. Thing is tits in person.... plus it collapses to fit in his small vehicle. Perfect.

And don't forget he can easily sell it for a fortune whenever he wants
