Depending on the crash, you should have GMD Computrack check it out the alignment, not expensive at all and really worth checking. Make sure you get some Woodcraft rearsets, case covers, and clip ons if it aint already got em.
I'll bet that if you go back and think really really hard... You could come up with a few more dicks to suck in that statememt... Even though the Armour and Woodcraft dicks are technically the same dick...

    exactly what piggy said.
talk to any of the people actually racing middleweight bikes.

bodywork - sharskinz or arbour bodies
    tires - Dunlop NTEC DOTs
    rearsets - woodcraft
    clip-ons - woodcraft
    case covers - woodcraft

stock suspension will be fine till you start lapping riders in the advanced group at a track day.

Talk to Joel Allen bout the new tires he's on & how he likes em.

Joel was a DIEHARD Dunlop man... He cheated on Stevie in October and I'm almost certain he ran the fastest times he had all season and almost a new PB. I'm sure with a little more tweaking he could get that extra few hundredths to do it.

Not saying either one is better, only that making a stink about which one is better is completely, utterly and ridiculously pointless. Just because a bunch of fast riders go fast on a certain tires doesn't irrefutably mean they're better.

Pete's right, but most people on Pirelli tend to be LW bikes.
Joel runs well on Pirelli, just like Carter runs well on Michelin.
But, most of the middleweight and heavyweight bikes in the paddock usually run Dunlop.

I know a guy that also made the switch from Dunlop to Pirelli and was very happy with the results. Also an expert on a MW bike. As PK as said many times. There isnt a bad tire out there some we just dont know how fast they can go.

Jimmeh... You like Dunlop and that's cool with me, I have no problem with that. But every reason I've seen you make arguing Dunlop is superior is kinda... well... weak at best. "most people on Pirelli tend to be LW bikes"... "Look what the fast guys are running"...... Alright, so a bunch of LW riders have an established relationship with MTAG and a bunch of incredibly tallented riders (that can go fast on anything) are going fast on Dunlops. Okay. What's that prove about the tires themselves?

Again, I'm not saying EITHER ONE is better than the other. Hell, YOU have more experience than I do running different brands of tires as Pirelli is the ONLY race tire I've ever run on my bike... but I don't see any concrete evidence that either tire is superior.

They're both excellent tires. If you know how to ride worth a damn then you can go fast on either one.

Re: New Track Bike Winter Project

I've raced on Continental and Dunlop. I've done track days on Pirelli and Michelin.
Honestly, I want to try a Pirelli DOT again if i were instructing for a TD in 2014.
Only downfall is adjusting ride height from the 190/60 Dunlop to the 180/55 Pirelli.

only tires i didnt like were the Michelin because of the pointy front profile.

Michelin makes 2 different fronts. the V profile which turns very quickly and a more rounded profile one. I'm kind of interested to try some Pirellis because I've heard the new V2 isn't all mush like the old ones. But they're more expensive than Dunlops. I've tried some other bikes with Michelins on them and had no complaints but to really get an accurate comparison I'd need to try them on my bike.
