Went to my first ever trackday today at Jennings GP (http://www.jenningsgp.com/thetrack.htm) in northeastern Florida... it was freakin' hot! Had a ton of fun, was reminded of just how unnecessary a liter bike is, learned a lot, and upped my pucker factor margin Nearly high sided coming out of turn 8 (a left hand descending radius corner). Poor throttle control + amateur body positioning + a couple bumps in the track through the line I took = my rear tire stepping out to the right. I relaxed the throttle and the tire hooked up again then it snapped back in line and stood the bike straight up (luckily not all the way over to the other side), un-assed me from the bike for a second. I landed hunched over my tank and off the bike a little bit to the left, but kept the shiny side up and just got back into turn 9 after I checked my britches I decided to chill out a bit more the rest of the day after that and started focusing on smoother throttle inputs and body positioning. Definitely worth the experience and just glad lady luck has a crush on me All in all, it was an awesome time and I can't believe it has taken me this long to get to the track.
