Trackday tires for an EX500

Fitting up a new set of skins on my spare EX500 for my Dad to take to his first trackday.

Options so for, given it's a 150 rear only on the EX:

Michelin Pilot Power (had them on my Rex, liked them plenty)

Pirelli Diablo Rosso (no clue about them for track-duty)

Anyone ever tried out both of these?

Needs to be able to handle track conditions in the dry and wet. Nothing in the advanced group, intermediate at best.

The pilot powers were my "rain tires" on the ex500. Loved them. Only did a few laps in the dry with them and thought they stuck well.

Most of the EX's at the track are on 160 Dunlops. Of course that's a PITA.

There are 2 guys on the 150 pirellis, both love them, one is faster on them than I am.
Bridgestone has a 150 option as well that I raced on and liked, got it from S&C. I think it was the BT-002RS

You can get the Pirelli Diablo's in a 150. If I continued to race my EX that was what I was going to go with. That being said, I used a 160 Dragon on the rear with good results.

A is what style? I was running Power race tires, soft. Liked them, but blew through them pretty quick.

A is soft.

These will be more durable than the Power Race series, but will give you better grip.

2011 Michelin pricing is making us nuts. Race tires are NOT getting any cheaper. We have bought hundreds of new Power One race tires for the new season and the pricing is making us go 400 plus a set.
