I went by it a few times during the winter. Looks more like a small scale logging operation with a sign out front that says future of a road course club.

Haha. I went to the ground breaking ceremony. I think it was 2002.

And i think 'world class' is a little advanced. VIR isn't even world class. I agree if it is built it will be a nice track though. Similar to NYST

I can see a dirt track when you look at google overhead pictures. A long way from being done though.

    Re: Valley Motorsports Park

blame it on nimbys, most of whom don't even live in the area, the most recent activity that I have heard is about a year ago, the Tamworth Selectmen agreed to accept a conservation easement on a large portion of CMI's total area of land, limiting future expansions

the "Focus" group that is promoting road blocks it hoping CMI will run out of money, drain all the assets spending on legal costs instead of construction philosophy

the project is still moving ahead ever so slowly

i drive by there a couple times per week and can tell you that there is a ton of activity there with regards to the track. even when the snow was still on the ground they jumped right in and began work again.
