Track was a Hoot.. Had a blast. A true Gem of a track Great roller coaster.. Videos don't do this place justice. Some corners are so wide its hard to find your turn in point. Smooth as silk. just needs a bigger paddock pitting in the rocks was the only draw back....

Degsy, Mannys old 749 passed the sound check!? That thing is one of the loudest bikes I know of. I wanted to go so bad but figured my Kramer would not pass in a million years.

Sound check was a little rough - I saw lots of riders flunk. They got you on pit road and from about 15' away you were supposed to rev. My bike has a 94db quiet insert but I had a feeling it was still too loud. I barely revved mine and somehow got the thumbs up.

I saw bikes running with rags stuffed into their pipes lol.

Throughout the day the sound guy measured all over the track. I got black flagged with 5 minutes to go in the last session, the claim was the change in weather conditions made my bike louder. 98 db

Would adding a "250 modified" sticker help you get around the sound check?

It's too bad they have to be so stringent on sound. Given the opposition from the townies they have endured over decades I can see why they would want to be proactive with it, at least for a little while anyway.

Agreed! Nevermind the irony that the loud aftermarket pipes are supposed to be for private road course use only, lol.

it doesnt really seem fair that the general public can be drastically louder. im willing to bet that the hoards of HDs and 18 wheelers that frequent that road are louder than 90dB. 90dB is like talking. Jersey exceeds that after a few beers.

oddly, the SV didnt even get a second look.

Yeah, it sucks for sure. People are pricks and that track seemed to have more of them than usual pulling out every trick in the book to bankrupt them before they could open.

So apparently they are going to 89db

Awesome facility. Management and corner workers seem to be going through a steep learning curve though.

Degsy, why are you riding in Group C? And was it a warm up lap, because the gentleman in front of you was just cruising.

I wish. We were told yesterday it had to be 89db and they kicked several cars off track.

There sound measurements also seem to be whack. Several people who claimed to never have sound issues at other tracks were flagged for it.

I think they're making a huge mistake and hope they reconsider.

My SV passed the static inspection with flying colors but I got black-flagged for 96db on the front straight at the end of the noon session. The kid who waved the flag told me the limit was 92db. Looks like a db-killer is on my list of winter projects.

New Bike, new track, new organization for me. I was fine in C. I was told I would have been fine in A. Honestly, I'm happy to stay away from the people trying to win trackday medals.

Tricky tested me at 10' and measured 110db.
I just rode all day and never got tested or black flagged once.

Track looks awesome! Bummer about the sound requirements though. I don't think I would pass, so I probably won't make it there

    Re: Video from Club Motorsports

I was pitted in the rocks...(it sucked) and went over to a dumpster to take a leak. I was as close to the road as I was to the track at that point and the road noise was equal or louder then the track was.. not sure what the bitch is with theses townies. I am sure the track owners are just playing nice for now but time will tell. My 748 never got a look for sound..
