Someone tell that guy in the Vanson's he better hold his friggin line goin into T3 or it might get awfully messy for him one of these days.
Given the circumstances it really wasn't all that dangerous of a move, but under race conditions, or if he HAD made the pass he was lining up, he could very easily take someone out by doing that.

Rule of thumb: If you're 10 feet from the left edge coming into the chute, STAY 10 feet from the edge!!! That guy was 20 feet from the edge at the first cone and THREE feet by the time he started turning in. Not cool. Then he almost went off track as he squeaked by the outside of that guy goin up T4.

Other than that, thanks for sharing. If you want some tips for T1 or T10, lemme know. Not sure if that's your normal line or what but those two areas stood out a little.

T1 - Your entry at the end of the front straight is pretty wide. If I were you I'd tighten it WAY up, starting back before the 3 board. Adjust your pre-turn back at the 3-4 boards so that you end up coming within 10 feet of the tires by the T1 flagging station. Then you want to be on the INSIDE of the orange box. Then hit the new pavement where it comes to a point where it's a much smoother transition. Where you're transitioning to the new pavement there's a bump. If you're still on the brakes there (which you will be, eventually) it can lead to a low-side. This approach allows you to brake MUCH much deeper and harder.

T10 - At the end of T9 you want to be within a few feet of the left edge and you need to flip the bike much harder. You're transitioning a little too early and a little too slowly which is hurting your drive and making you run wide on the exit. Flip HARD and you get the bike pointed towards T11 much earlier which will allow you to get on the gas much harder.

Also, for T6, try and start accelerating sooner.

Thanks man. Ill take a closer look at the video and try to improve at the next TD. I know I'm disappointed in how slow I turn then run wide. I've made the bike as steep as I possibly can but I know it's my fault. I just have to steer harder. Especially coming out of 12 I run up to the wall too early. On going problem that I'll work on!!

Can't see your body position, but one thing that helps with turning quicker is to make sure you lead with your body...in other words, hang off first, and then turn.

Thanks Ken. Yeah I know that technique and I try to do it but I'm sure I'm not off early enough and being the first time this year on a motorcycle sure I'm very rusty. Those laps we're in the 1:25-27 range so I have a long way to go!

Yeah, you've been around long enough to know that technique, so I'm sure you are doing it. Sometimes, I am a bit lazy with it, but I'm then reminded just how necessary it is to get the bike turned with more precision at faster speeds. I find that it also helps me become less fatigued.
