    VIR 2007?

I'm going to be sitting down with my boss soon to talk about 2007 and work out the race/track day schedule.

I would like to be able to talk about this as well with him.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

    VIR 2007?

    Already way ahead of you.

I am talking to VIR already and I have requested a Sunday/Monday deal including one day on the north course and one day on the grand course. Dates I have requested are either March 31/April 1st or April 7/8th. I want these dates because they will be 2-3 weeks before the LRRS season opener, so you racer types will get some valuable seat time just before the first race weekend to shed the cobwebs.

Right now, Cornerspeed will need to book the track for the entire Friday-Monday in order to give us Sunday/Monday, but we are waiting to hear from the track in the next 2 weeks if this is possible and if we have our requested dates.

To get the best prices, we will need to try to FILL the course for both days from our group. I will start a tentative attendee thread here so that we can start to get numbers.

I have asked Tony to assist with this as he has the infrastructure/experience to handle the payments and paperwork.

    Derek

When more stuff is solid I can pass the word around. I'm sure I know a ton of people that would be interested. After coming back from VIR this year i put down my best times ever.

BOTH! However, I brought both last year and never touched my ZX... granted Alex was on it the whole time & i was trying to get used to the EX, but the fact remains that I didn't ride it the whole time we were down there.

    VIR 2007?

What would the approx cost be to go?
    track fees / lodging / transport ?
    $700?

I'm really interested but not if it wipes out my track day budget.

you'll need to have a race licence or complete the cornerspeed school. That will be an extra cost that you'll have.

Degs, is it gonna be a "racer track event"? When we went in '04 no license was needed.

do i bring the bus or not is the real question. the$600 i spent on gas last time wasnt fun on the wallet. but this winter im gonna do some reconfiguring and maybe fit some more bikes in it if not tow a trailer with it or both. reduce the cost.

This sounds like something I'd like to try. I know it is too early to know the details but roughly how much would it cost for those that would need to take the race license course?

What form of transportation do most people use to get down there? I have a round trip ticket to/from major airports in the US. I could fly into Richmond and then take a charter to William M Tuck airport? That's assuming someone can haul my bike down there in exhange for a fee/gas money?

I also have a truck and could haul a few bikes if people would help pay gas.

    VIR 2007?

last year, for three days of tracktime, including the cornerspeed race school, transportation, hotels etc etc... I think the whole trip ran me about a grand. I dont like to think about it much though However much it was that I spent, it was worth it

no, drove down w/ Alex (a13x) & the other Cheap Bastid Racing fools. Split the cost of gas 152 ways & it's not so bad. I haven't made travel arangments yet, but if i have to i can tow my bike down myself... if I do i'll fit one more on the trailer & split the cost w/ someone else... but last year worked out pretty good... we'll see how it goes.
