I did this track day in '04 and had a blast. I'd love to do it again, but I really can't justify having to spend the extra cash on my race license, when I really have no desire to race.

I would be interested as well. Either way (Racer or not) although it would be nice to go down and get my license ( I hear it is less expensive there)

Latest on VIR is the following:

We can get a limited amount of people (maybe 30 at the VERY MOST) to VIR on Monday the 9th and Tuesday the 10th April, 2007, North Course.

We would be doing this by tacking onto someone else's trackday.

The event is for a specialist group and is not published yet. That group will probably not be able to fill the full 75 person track allowance, so I have committed to take every single slot they have left over. This event will be sold out before it is ever advertised.

It will be on a first come-first served basis. I will take bookings right away on a $200 deposit basis. Once it is sold out, it is sold out. The full cost of the event will be in the region of $400 for the two days on the North course. It will probably be less, but won't be more than that. There will be NO REQUIREMENT to do the Cornerspeed school. In fact, there will be no official Cornerspeed school those days. Cornerspeed are trying to get a date to run an official race school on the friday before this event, but it is not confirmed that this will happen. If they run a school on the friday, those of you wanting to get your race licence there will be able to do race school friday, followed by our trackdays monday and tuesday. You will need to book the race school through Cornerspeed, but I will tell you when it is a go so that you can get on the list early.


You cannot do just one day. You must pay for the full 2-day event whether you ride one day or two.

Those are actually really good dates. We did the monday and tuesday that first year and it worked out really well, if you leave saturday morning you end up down there saturday evening leaving you two nights to hang around drinking be...err, get a good two nights sleep and give your bike a good once-over before waking up rested and refreshed for monday morning

Same as typically at Tony's, although the track is bigger and the groups are a little smaller. There will be be no more than 25 in a group. You will probably start in the middle group if you have never ridden VIR. No-one will be getting in your way, trust me, the track is very wide and there's plenty of room.

Not happening. They are trying to get a school up for friday/saturday or sunday on the south course, but aren't hopeful. The track is being very cagey with motorcycle events.
