I drove down to VIR earlier this month. Its a long drive and trailering obviously takes a bit longer. The trip took us almost 14 hours.
I don't know what I was thinking but I did this drive overnight after working all day...by the time I got there, I had been driving for 14 hours and awake for almost 30!! :hmm:
Get a speedpass too...you will save lots of time getting through the tolls.
Oh, and btw, that track is absolutely beautiful. It will be an awesome track to ride!!

I'd be up for two day dependent on cost... But what else is new ;)

i'm still very interested as long as it's not gonna cost me a leg... i can deal w/ paying w/ an arm, but not an arm AND a leg.... i like my legs better than my arms anyway, but i'll still need at least one arm... so if it's one arm or less then i'm in:D

Oh... question... any place around there to camp out? maybe right there on the infield? :D :D :D
i'm gonna be so strapped for cash around that time i figured i can save some money that way.... i'm a cheap bastard :D
VIR Trackday February 2005
I take it you will not be camping as the average lows for February in Alton is 28F (highs of 52F).
VIR Trackday February 2005
Pete, the hotel rooms are so cheap down there that the cost of the hotel room would be about $30 or so each for two sharing.
I will ask about camping though.

with you by my side we can cuddle for warmth :D
(hey, you walked into that one :D)
VIR Trackday February 2005
they do not normally allow camping., just for some race weekend., for all trackdays i know of they do not., as they need to pay people to be there if they allow camping..,
and for the price of the hotel ., split with someone or even a couple people and sleep on the floor still warmer...
and even if you camp they charge a fee of $25 to camp ..

Correct, it may be NC/VA border but it does still get pretty damn cold there in February.
