It's an 8.5x11 sheet of paper that says I get to join you guys on the 18th.
More specifically... It's a gift-certificate I won at the raffle we did at Donny's (AJ fundraiser) that states "1 Free Pit Bike Track Day with bike rental for 2010"
To: Tyler
From your friends at VT Pit Bike Racing.
From: Michael "Doc" Lemire
This means I'm in right??? :naughty

OH SNAP!!!!! TS gotcha Doc! Better pony up a ride for him...looks like you'll be riding the YSR all day. Sorry, its a little late, but still applicable. I'll be home for a wedding...I wonder if I can make it down early, do some laps and make it back in time for the wedding at 4:00? Probly not a good idea, I'm in the wedding party.

If I did show up though, could I ride the 70? It is a 70 right? The big-er Honda. I guess I could find a way to buy one before then too...then I would def. be late for the wedding.

Can I catch a ride with somebody for this?

So is anyone looking to buy a pitbike? What is your budget? Can I help by financing for you?

Re: VTPBR Pitbike Track day (Barre, Vermont) Sept 18th
I am buying a 150R, going to run 14's on it. I'd be all over this with my nephew if:
1. I had a bike for myself
2. I was moved into the new house

14s instead of 12s or 17s where you can get good rubber? That's an interesting choice, how'd you settle on it? (I've seen 12s and 17s on 150Rs, seem to do well with both.)

Michelin Pilot... seem to do the trick. Don't like the look of the 12's or 17's.. I want it to look to scale, and also prefer not going to a 17"... If I did, there really wouldn't be a huge difference from the 150 and the 250.

Re: VTPBR Pitbike Track day (Barre, Vermont) Sept 18th
Pilot Sport SCs? I ran one on the front of my 70 for awhile... make sure you can get at LEAST 2.15" wide rims for that tire, ideally 2.5" or 3" or the profile will be WAY out of whack. When I ran them they were very unpredictable at the edge of grip, they wouldn't give you any warning that you were at the line, they'd just let go. Pirelli SL26s used to be available in a 14" size, softer rubber, not quite as much absolute grip as a Pilot SC or Dunlop TT21 but VERY predictable as you pushed. You could do some SICK slides with them. Wore REAL fast unfortunately. I don't see the 14" version listed on Pirelli's site any more though so I'm not sure what to suggest now as an alternative to the Pilot SC.

That's the Pilot Sport SC on a standard 14" dirt rim... not a pretty profile and a total PITA to mount. : ) Damn it's been a LONG time since my 70 looked that... stock. : )
Edit: Pirelli GTS 23, that was the other animal to look at. The new 'Diablo Scooter' looks good to, higher profile so it'll put up with a narrow rim better?

i think the wheels we built for my nephews bike were 2.5 or 2.75. I plan to use the same ones.
