Palmer, May 27 and 28 Trackdays

Palmer, May 27 and 28 Trackdays

As of now, I am marking these dates as SOLD OUT. I need to process a bunch of orders and see where things stand, so there may be a couple of more spots available.

If you missed out and want in, shoot me an email from the website letting me know which day (or Both), and I'll go through the emails by the date I receive them (if we end up with openings).

Also, if you haven't heard, we may be forced to run CCW on Sunday, but we'll definitely run CW on Monday. I am still hoping for both days CW, but it's out of my hands.

Even so... running both directions over the weekend might be the best anyway? We do it at NYST, and that seems to work fine.

If I get any new info, I'll post up here... and the FB group.

Update: Sunday is just barely SOLD OUT, so email me if you want on the wait list for that day. Monday still has a few spots, so register soon if you want in on that day only.

Looks like a lot of folks doing both days. I'm stoked and getting everything as prepared as possible.

I'm curious about CCW/CW and the track making you run one way vs. another. It sounds like a really varied experience but on the flip side having never run this track before I'd imagine the second day is when I'd just start feeling comfortable a few sessions in if maintaining the same. Is it due to conditions or...?

Thanks for that. Such an interesting looking track. Assuming clockwise, you're running uphill more of the track than counter which would be more downhill. It also looks pretty wide in this video, the aerial shots made it seem like somewhat of a narrow track. Also expected the turns to be much lower speed and tight rather than sweeping.

Got the trailer registered this morning, really looking forward to it!

Yes, yes, and yes there are lots of big sweeping turns.

If you're going to be doing both days, DEFINITELY go on the track walk Sunday night. You have no idea how steep this track is until you walk it. And the views are amazing.

Since you start and end at the same place, I'm not sure that's true?

although... back in my day I had to walk to school... and it was uphill both ways as I recall.

    LOL @Tony....

Zolden: I get what you're saying. Most of the lap CCW (normal) descends, except for a brief steep climb into T1 and another through 4 and 5 to the top of the hill prior to 6. The rest of the lap is either flat or descending.

Reverse direction climbs for more of the lap, with two sections where it descends sharply.

Exactly, that was my observation. I took the opportunity to kick off a week vacation by being there both days. Bringing stuff to camp Sunday and will certainly attend the track walk.

So, anyone want to split a garage? I'll be there Monday, and possibly Sunday night.

Watching the forecast. right now it looks like better-than-even chance of rain for a few hours Sunday afternoon, otherwise just cloudy. If that doesn't improve later this week I'll be renting for both days.

If I show up on the hot pit, it will drizzle... just watch which tires I choose, and choose the opposite. You'll be spot on for every session!

I'm playing it by ear as well and was intending on renting both days by Friday morning if the forecast is still looking rainy. Sounds like others mentioned garages are the place to pitch a tent in if rain overnight Sunday is expected. Happy to share to cut down some costs if that works. Just my bike and a cooler otherwise.

I've rented a garage for both days. Already splitting with a friend and another TTD customer, have room for one more bike. PM me if you're interested. Already posted to the TTD facebook group, first come, first served.

EDIT: One slot taken. Room for one more.
