    Spectators at Palmer

I have a coworker that has never been on the track. He really wants to go when he gets the money to pay. I've never been to Palmer so I have no clue what it's like. Would it be cool if we came up Palmer on Sunday to check it out? I'd like to show him what he is in for and how much to prepare for his first track day.

Palmer is an awesome track to ride, but is the worst track ever for any kind of spectating, you can't see anything but part of the straight and turn 1,2
There is also nothing else to do there.

Thompson is the best track around for spectating, you can see the whole track and have lunch and play golf when your done watching.

Fixed. Might as well cut to the chase.

I don't disagree on NHMS, but since it was listed unders Tony's I wanted to list a track that Tony's has days at, so I stand behind my Thompson is best track around for spectators

TTD usually offers a "try the track" program where he can do the red group follow-the-leader session for free.

It's also free to sit in on the classroom sessions.

Guy I came up with yesterday brought his coworker to palmer yesterday. After watching a couple sessions and riding around on the pit bike he slept. Should have brought him to Thompson instead.

yeah... Trackdays are really only exciting for the participants. When I invite guests to stop by, I usually tell them a "couple of hours". After that, it can get pretty boring.

I do notice when I give spectators two up rides that they have a whole different level of appreciation. Watching bikes come down the straight and into Turn 1 is OK... but after they experience it - they better realize all the little things we're doing.

But yeah... after a couple of hours tops... it's kind of boring to watch.

One other thing I like when participating is the time in the pits between sessions, when not in the classroom, is kind of cool too just rehashing the sessions with your buddies, or checking things on each others bikes. The camaraderie is a great part of the day.

Serious question, how do I get a ride? I think it would help with my track riding.
