Man !
Friday Free Practice at Laguna Seca starts in 90 mins. I wish I was there. Theres always motogp.com !
Last year was just soooo awesome. The scream of those Moto GP bikes is like nothing else in the world.
Hoping Nicky can stay on top of the heap. But Jeremy Burgess and crew seem to have gotten the Yamaha M1 dialed in to Rossi's liking finally. It doesn't bode well for Hayden.
Seems to me like Rossi can take a bike that's only 60% of what the others have and still beat em.
But track experience still favors the Americans. Well see.
I'm feeling the buzz even 3000 miles away!
so far the superbike guys are saying the new track surface is horrendous.
will have to see what the gp riders say about it

If they are saying it's so hard to pass and the new surface made it even harder to pass I will go out on a limb and say Rossi isn't going to win given how often he has been coming from far behind this year.
If Pedrosa podiums he's the man.. he's never been to Laguna right?
I'd like to see Hayden, Edwards, and Hopkins on the podium in just about any order.
Hopper's tires won't last. KRJR's got a better shot at podium than Hopper. The chances of an all American podium are pretty good, but I think Valle, Stoner, Pedrosa or someone will spoil it.

First practice:
Stoner second with a low 1:25 time !
First time there? Pretty amazing...
Roberts Jr first with a high 1:24 time. They got his bike pretty well fixed up.
Hayden 8th... HRC I think is playing it cool.
But the new changes according Zemke really take the character away. Also said the bumps are way worse this year. Some like sharp edge pot holes according to him.
Duh.. of course the Suzuki will destroy it's tires but I can be hopeful.
KRJR on the podium would also be real cool.
Heck almost all these guys are easy to root for.. Stoner, Hopkins, Hayden, Melandri, Rossi, Capirossi.
Gibernau is almost irrelevant now but he's no fun, and Pedrosa sometimes seems like he went to the Biaggi Finishing School for Budding GP Racers.
I predict a come from behind win by Jose Luis Cardoso.
My prediction:
1st...Hayden
2nd...KRJR
3rd...Edwards
4th...Stoner
5th...Hopper
6th...Rossi (yes 6th!!!)
7th...Checa
8th...Capirossi
9th...Vermulen
10...Nakano
I think Pedrosa will crash out while dicing it with the frontrunners.
