    100 days of bike ownership

So I was logging my mileage for today (yes, I'm that OCD, I log every ride), and I realized that today marks 100 days since I bought the bike.

Oh, and I'm at 8,805 miles in those 100 days...109 miles short of hitting the mileage that the previous three owners put on in nine years.

    That's pretty impressive ----
I assume you use it as a commuter - rain or shine

Just kidding. I wish I had the time to do that much riding. It would be easier if I didn't live in such a congested area.

And I just pulled the valve cover off and realized that I've done a good chunk of that riding with one intake valve rocker arm floating near its respective exhaust valve.

    Oops.

(so, uh, anyone got a rocker arm for a '99 Ninjette kicking around by any chance? The only overlap according to the fiche is the 88-94 Eliminator 250.)

    nice/congratulations.

recently, i'd been thinking about logging all my mileage after rides, but then i thought "well, so what would i do up until this point?" and thusly haven't bothered, lol.

maybe on the next bike i buy, though.
