New battery installed. Idle adjusted. Cleaned my caliper pistons using that fancy tool Kurlon found on amazon. All wired and ready to rock.

I'm kind of in the same boat. Bike is ready but I can't get up to the track until Saturday morning. No knocking the rust off for me this year.

Tank is finished, primed, and base coated. All the other bodywork has a base coat as well. Tonight I gotta get all the gold done, and hopefully have time to start taping off for black tomorrow. Tomorrow the black goes on and taping for the number plates. Thursday is packing and number plates then headed up friday morning. Will be adding sponsor and number stickers trackside it seems.

After four hours at the DMV, my trailer is finally registered. Now to figure out why the connection for the running lights inside the car stopped working this morning. Maybe Thursday night I'll get to work on the bike.

my lights went out around round 6, and i was stuck trailing two rounds to NHMS and one round to NJMP with no trailer lights.
ended up being my trailer harness went bad. got a plug & play kit from e-trailer, used factory plugs and works great.

That's where it is. What are you suggesting? I'm already touching the exhaust so I don't have much room to move around.

I'd be a bit worried it would catch the oil and direct it right at the rear tire. I think it looks weird because the front is so high.

The harness is definitely good; (1) it's just not the correct harness for my type of taillights, and (2) the wiring system of a VW sucks. This harness is for a dual-bulb taillight, not the single-bulb system I have. There are workarounds (namely, tapping into the 3rd brake light and a separate running light, instead of into the taillight itself)...however, all of the 16-or-so wires going into my hatch (which contains said 3rd and running lights) have white insulation.

Any better? I adjusted the lower mount and it lifted it up about 1-2"

This might be it. I know that mine is 4.5" off the ground and level to the ground and it still drags the very back of the right side.

Probably because he doesn't use plastics made for the bike he's mounting them to.

Just think about when your suspension compresses in T3 and T10. That thing is going go scrape, bigtime.

Bottom needs to be level-ish. And more off the ground. Look at how high and tucked in everything is under your bike from the factory, your belly pan shouldn't protrude noticeably from that.

Woodcraft sells heat shielding that is supposed to stick well to fairings. just got some myself. I'll see how well it works this year. tuck the fairing right up against the exhaust and put some of that on.
