Could easily be another car, or could be they were all coming home loaded and made the same error (or followed the first guy making an error). You really never know what happens, especially at 2 am, in a situation like this.

TYNGSBORO -- Police are asking for help from anyone who may have information that sheds light on what happened to three motorcycle riders who crashed simultaneously while riding on Lakeview Avenue early Saturday morning.
Two of the three riders suffered serious injuries and had to be flown to regional trauma centers by MedFlight helicopter.
Chief Richard Howe said police were called to Lakeview Avenue, just west of Coburn Avenue, about 2:05 a.m., where they found three men who had been riding together when all three lost control and crashed at the same time for unknown reasons.
"We know all three were riding together, and that all three went off the road at the same time," Howe said. "One hit a parked vehicle and another hit a wall."
A 26-year-old male was flown by MedFlight to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. A 32-year-old male was flown by MedFlight to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and a 22-year-old male was taken by ambulance to Lowell General Hospital.
Howe said all three are expected to survive, but the most seriously injured rider was placed in a medically-induced coma. Their conditions were not immediately available.
Howe said the riders were from Tyngsboro, Fitchburg, and East Boston, though he was initially unable to say which rider was from which town.
Police are so far unsure what caused the simultaneous crash. State troopers from the Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Section spent about four hours documenting the crash scene early Saturday morning, not clearing the scene until about 6 am.
Howe said that as police attempt to reconstruct what happened, they want to hear from anyone who was in the area Saturday about 2 a.m., and anyone who may have information regarding what happened.
