I had a black one *FLY* by me on Rt-4 southbound around Kingston, RI early Friday morning.

I'm guessing it was a touring one. Side cases, top box. Guy had a bright orange jacket on.

Didn't have any interest in this when it was first announced, but after sitting on one and feeling how much smaller/lighter it feels than looks and seeing this:


Let's just say a used one next year will be on my list of potentials Bike pictured above is Ducati's entry to the Pikes Peak climb this year (which the Hyper won 2 years ago)

I like the bike, in fact I'd love to ride one (but would have to wait for pre-owned to afford it).... but the nose of that thing... well, nevermind... it'll look gorgeous when you're standing next to it Dave...

I was in NYC a few weeks ago and as it happened my hotel was next door to the Ducati dealer in Soho. They had a black S model in the middle of the showroom. As the wife and I were drooling over it a guy walked over with his helmet and said, that's mine, I'm taking it home right now. Guy said it was the 2nd one in the country? Whatever the case, very nice looking bike, very comfortable looking, and one of the panniers held his XL Arai - something my ST panniers cannot do. Wife is goading me to replace the ST with this bike, not sure where she thinks the money will come from...

this bike is at the top of my list for potentials once the hyper has lost that special feeling, but i would not be happy if the modes werent adjustable... i would not want to ride per the "standard settings" if they are customizable then its the only bike on my list....

LOL like they would make such awesome features and not have it be customizable? IIRC you can even load personalized settings for each.

Interesting, I can fit my Arai XD in my ST side bags? Hadn't run into a helmet that wouldn't fit in there actually. The new Multi can only do that trick on one side, the exhaust side bag is a bit... deformed on the inside. I'm also being told that unlike our ST bags, the new Multi's are NOT anything resembling water tight. Duc does offer alternate covers to expand their capacity though...

I'm debating between the Multi and a Streetfighter to replace my ST, or just rock the CB650 project... I've ridden the Streetfighter, gotta get a Multi test ride soon.

Sorry, I should have been more specific, I was referring to my Triumph Sprint ST. Which has pretty useless panniers.

If I'm paying $20k for the bike, I'd like to think they'd have at least matched the design tolerances of the bags on a bike I paid $13k for new from them. : )

But I guess drybags work too.

Might be an issue you'll see fixed down the road if it's that much of a problem....?

You would think when you spend $10k on a Ducati you would get a fully adjustable suspension. Unfortunately they didn't get the memo on that either.
