Hey all,
One of our staffers just ordered up a set of IMPACT ARMOR and apparently the 15% discount for Tonys Track Days riders is still in effect. (you have to ask for it)
I personally use both the chest and back protector, but you can order either item (although the discount might be less?)
If you're not familiar with them, they are custom fit pieces. They'll send you templates based on your measurements... you modify the templates (or leave as is if they fit perfect)... and send them back.
Regardless of what you do, if you don't have full torso protection yet, it might be a good time to get it.
Historically, they are very slow in getting out the final product, so don't wait too long thinking you have plenty of time.

I'm surprised the guy still honors the 15% discount! That's cool.
I've had the same back/chest protector set since 2005 I think. Standard chest, Colin back. Awesome stuff. Protects great, is very comfortable and lasts forever.
And to clarify, you don't have to send the templates back if no changes need to be made. Even if changes need to be made, you can probably just send him the new measurements via email or something so you don't have to ship stuff back & forth.

People almost invariably arrive at their beliefs not on the basis of proof but on the basis of what they find attractive.

question on the chest protector. Does it just sit in your suit or does it somehow attach to the back protector?

There is a strap that ties both items together, but it's not really needed as your leathers will hold it
Last I heard, they were still honoring it.

Don't u guys find then uncomfortable? I mean isn't it enough back protector m suit? For road racing at least..
You wouldn't believe how UN-uncomfortable these things are. I hardly notice mine is there. Once it warms up to body temp it molds itself nicely around my torso.
I'm not sure what you were trying to say in your second sentence, but this serves as a stand-alone back protector. There is no other padding in my suit other than my Impact Armor chest & back protectors.

I second Pete's comment, with regards to my CHEST protector (I have a Teknic BP, and Impact Armor CP). It's a hair stiff in the morning, but by the time I get out onto Pit Road the CP has warmed up enough to be flexible, and I forget it's there for the rest of the day. And if I understand your second sentence correctly, no it's not necessarily enough to just have a BP for any type of motorcycle sport. Your chest, as it protects your heart and many other important organs, is kinda worthwhile to protect (especially for only $100!).
