No, this is not about RI strip clubs...

So, I'm rolling home from traffic court after getting my ticket reduced from 17 over the limit to the minimum. they even forgot to charge me the 25 dollar court fee. I'm pleased with myself.

I pass right by the spot where I was ticketed. The road goes from village to wide open farm country and I roll on the gas and immediately get lit up by my home town cop! He pulls me over and I take off my helmet. He's laughing already, so I know I'm probably good. He tells me to tone it down cause he had me at 17 over... Doh!

We both looked up and down the farm fields and saw not a car or anything, not even a tree on the side of the road. I don't think he could have ticketed me in good conscience for that.

Man, That's Crazy! One of those times when you just have to laugh.
When I had my little Fiat X-19, I got pulled over in Belchertown on Rt202. The cop took my lisence and reg, and walked to his vehicle. I was wondering why he was taking sooo long, but when he came back to me, he handed me my license, a citation, and told me that he had somehow "lost" my registration during the process! I was furious, and I wrote a letter to his commanding officer. The magistrate threw the ticket out (actually, "continued without finding") when I told him what happened.
Another time (same car) I was pulled over in Granby (same road). The road was long and straight, and I looked back and saw blue lights waaaay behind me. As I was looking in my rearview, I pulled over and hit a mailbox pole and layed it right down! I backed up a bit, the cop pulled up, gave me a warning, and drove away! I had to laugh.
Rt 202 was like running the gauntlet in those days, probably still is.

hahaa! welcome to my world i got nabbed about 4 times my first few sessions out on the SXV, all within a mile or two of the house. damn things look illegal standing still.
