No worries. I enjoy watching stunts as long as they are done fairly safely.... I am jealous

I distinctly remember it being a 16" all the way through '99 because we had leads for used tires from dealerships. We were never able to get free fronts because the 900RR's were the only bikes running 16". The forks and all.... same same. They changed the upper, upper bracket, headhight assembly, and added a digital temp to the dash in '98, but I'm almost positive nothing else changed.

You're right. i just checked and the 17" front wheel came in in 2000

i just had a confersation with my ups driver. he had a 98 900 and always had problems with the front tire cupping and warping rotors. the dealer kept feeding him b.s. about how honda was working on a solution.

btw the same bike is now on its twelth owner and is once again for sale for 3600 dollars. its been seen squaring off tires and posing around keene st college from time to time

I warped stock rotors on that bike in 5 laps at Loudon. New set on warranty, same problem. I ended up going to aftermarket rotors.

Maybe if you weren't such a squid pulling stoppies every lap they would have lasted.

The rotor problem is also something new to me..... I roll stoppies one after another, after another, after another, after another, at speeds over 100mph down to a complete stop. Never warped a router. I overheated the brakes to the point where the lever is soft, but Honda pads (I consider) among the best available.

cupping of the tire.... that is a positive. My 900RR tears through front tires. The treads begin to peel up backwards and after 4K miles, if I take my hands off the bars, the bike enters a violent head shake all by itself. It's scary.

Yeah, things have been pretty good. Living in Haverhill now still working at Analogic in Peabody. Nothing too exciting here just plugging away at that thing we all call life.

How's things with you? I hear you and Tara bought a place up in Cow Hampster. You still in Boston at the hat place (didn't want to screw up the name)

You need to get rid of that beat 900rr and get a good road bike again so you can come out and play on the weekend rides and track days.

Yea, things have been great. I'm becoming domestic.... new house, new car, saving money, yard work, buying life insurance, setting up retirement plans... the whole "I'm getting old" sha-bang. I plan on either making the 900RR street legal again, or selling it to Argos for cash (to buy a street legal bike). I might piece together another stunt bike if I can find a frame / motor cheap. Did you end up going to Hooters last night?

Yup, wound up heading up there with three of my buds and caught up with everyone I haven't seen for a couple of months. It is always good to see people you haven't seen for a while to see how things are going for them.

Glad to hear things are well with you and Tara and your domestication/retirement planning Hopefully will get a chance to see you guys this summer sometime.
