Not a racer but am curious what the extras are on the brake/suspension components. Reservoir for the ohlins and adjusting stem? Nice link btw.

Shame to see all that beauty go obsolete.

gas charged forks, I believe that's a nitrogen reservoir but it could be extra oil I'm not 100% sure.

and by the "adjust stem" are you talking about the little blue sorta minifork thing that's travels along the fork leg? that's a linear potentiometer. it measures suspension travel.

Either just for display or possibly to hold in heat on the carbon rotors.

    Re: 2 Stroke Roadracing Fans

Considering that looks likes Biagii's old GP 250, those generation of carbon rotors needed shields to keep the heat in the rotors, otherwise they would not work.

This was why some riders ran the "Gardner Cocktail" of one steel and one carbon brake. The steel brakes worked right away until the carbon side came up to temp.

Buttonless, GP standard for a while now.

    Lots of sexy tech there.

Linear Potentiometer, thats exactly what I meant to type. Thanks. Good thing racing these 2 strokes is an affordable hobby. I'd hate to see what it would be like if they got all technical.
