    20+ Hours of Bike Work

Well... that was a special two days. (Saturday and Monday)

My former track bike has now been transformed back to a street bike.

It is now fully stock, except for Gold Valves in the forks and Steel front brake lines.

    Things I did:

    Remove all bodywork.
Put all lights back into bodywork.
    Changed rear brake fluid.
    Remove Woodcraft Rearsets
    Replace with Stock Rearsets.
    Remove Woodcraft Clipons.
Remove steering damper and top triple tree.
Replace with Stock Clipons and turn signal/horn/high beam.
(Put steering damper onto my new bike.)
    Remove rear wheel.
    Loosen exhaust
    Remove Shock.
    Lubricated all linkage bearings.
    Replace with stock shock.
    Tighten exhaust.
    Remove front and rear sprockets.
    Replace with stock gearing.
    Put passenger pegs on.
Put all the stock reflectors back on.
    Changed oil.

At this point, I spent about 2 hours detailing the bike and wheels. It's amazing how dirty these bikes get underneath it all.

I then put the wheels and all the bodywork back on, and went for a test ride.

    Looks and works perfect.

Then... I had to take Renee's dirtbike motor apart to change the Gear Shift Spline she broke on the last ride.

Ended up getting her new tires, new front brake lever, and new rear pads.

Since I had the bike so much apart... I just stripped it down and lubricated all the linkages and bearings, etc.

Got it all back together at 8PM... Fired it up and everything worked perfect!

With my new track bike, I think I'm just going to put the shock on and leave it at that. I'm sick of working on bikes.
