Agreed it is pretty good and lighter than other bikes this size...actually easier to roll around than expected...it’s just during the roll one I was really on the front brake limits hoping to scrub speed more quickly. The only real solution for me is to slow down.
Rode Ortega highway today with traffic and did not pass many cars. Even aired to 42psi these tires were too squared to lean...and dare I say, the Vstrom was more fun in the canyons!
Oh yeah and 85 miles later my rear end is sore. Bike feels a little cramped on the legs for long rides although you can slide pretty far back on the seat if you have long arms
Rode out to wine country
Ha, babying it under 5k all the time, gentle launches, so far I got 45mpg over 118 miles
EDIT: speedo is off by a lot due to re-gearing...so more like 36-38mpg
345th EDIT: pics, also I was super sore by mile 180-200ish...even with the gel seat...guess I gotta build my endurance. More day trips
rode alongside 3 lamborghini's out...did not race any. let the s1000rr go past me in the canyons.
