    2003 R1 long-term review (anyone?)

    Hey all....

I'm considering ditching the 2004 R6 for an R1. I doubt that i'll be able to afford a new 2005...so i'm considering getting a used 2003 (black ltd edition). I actully like the way the 03's look over the 04's and 05's. Could anyone give me a long term review of the 2003 R1? Also, how different is the overall performace of the 03 compared to the 04/05.

    thanks in advance!

hey Chris, wanna go riding tomorrow? come up to Lowell.

i'll ofer my opinion though i havent ride any Rs. it's not hard to believe the improvement in the area of handling and chasis. it's not hard to believ owners of both yrs telling you the 04 has weak mid range power. i bet my money on it.

    r1

I have an 03 R1, owner bought an '04 R1, said he'd rather keep the '03, but he had the title for it and a loan on the '04 so he sold the '03...had to sell one or the other...

I like the lines of the '03 over the '04 personally...power is superb...bought it with 9K on it, 11500 on it now, no problems...turn the key, press the button, it's go-time...

    Here's one FS:
