get back to the roads in northern California and maybe test my skills on the tracks there. Infinion raceway is minutes from my hometown.
Maybe ride out to the Bean more on Sundays since I didn't get to do that five hundred times this season.
Shady Valley and the Gap are planned for spring.
Lots of good ideas in here, guys... keep em comin.

I've been tossing around goals for 2008 in my head for a while, there are a lot of them but I guess these are some off the top of my head.
Track:
- Break into the 1:14's
- Catch up to Scott James
- Stay ahead of Robert Bloodgood
- Get in (and stay in) the top 10 in MWSS and MWSB
- Finish season with 40+ points in MWSS and MWSB
- Ride more consistently, without stupid/avoidable crashes
- Improve throttle control on corner exit
- Improve braking control
- Keep head and upper body lower while cornering
Street:
- Stay out of trouble and ride safe (if I don't sell the street bike)
Overall:
- Stay in the gym and improve cardio ability
track: brake a little less, release them sooner, and try to raise my corner speeds
street: more miles, longer trips, and MotoGP Indy if I can somehow manage the time off from work and family

Track: Find the time and $$ to go twice
Street: Screw work and school, 3K miles didn;t cut it this year. Make it to at least two group rides and get my bike over 20K (its at 14.5K now)
General: Well, I think as far as bikes go it's been covered. I don;t need a new one yet and I'm pretty sure I don't ride enough to have a "general bikes" topic...maybe do my own oil change at the start of the season?

A road trip to VIR sounds good to me!
I've been to VIR once before but only as a spectator. It was a AMA event...the year that Kurtis Roberts' RC51 turned into a ball of flames and Aaron Yates laid himself in the middle of the track during the Superbike race to get a red flag thrown.
Have any dates been released for track days or schools at VIR yet?

Can't remember...does Aaron run track days or are they all race schools? I took the race school there a couple years ago...cool
Nesba runs a bunch of events at VIR too...last I checked their schedule wasn't out yet.
But yeah Matt....keep me on the list...I am definately down for that...even if I am a friggn elitist wop wannabe!

Yes...you can use your Cornerspeed Certificate to get an LRRS licences. But, I would recommend taking the Penguin School at NHIS even if you do take the Cornerspeed Class....No way I was ready to race at NHIS after the Cornerspeed School. (...yeah, I know...I wasn't ready even after Penguin...ha ha..beat you all to it...!)

Denno gets the Saxman award for 2008.
Boston --> San Diego
Track.... Maybe go up to watch the races more than one weekend...and do a campout
Street.... Probably not much seeing how I live on a dirt road now and hate getting my bike dirty
Dirt.... Hmmm, LOTS of dirty action, I'm thinking a ride of some sort every single dayI need to learn to ride all over again seeing I have only been on 1 or 2 real dirty rides this season.
General.... Did I mention dirt?
Yamaha
This isn't really a random funny bump friday kind of bump....
but it is friday, and this is a great thread considering we're only 7 weeks away from the first race weekend, and riding season is already starting!
