2012 GSX 750 OR YAMAHA R6

people . i want to buy either of gsx or r6 but stuck in between . hard choice to make.my preference is comfort and low maintaince cost as i plan to do lot of riding on it. advice plz......................

Do you mean gsxr750??? Couldn't find a gsx 750 for 2012. The gsr 750 isn't in the US that would be a sweet bike.

If you want comfort a gsx 1250 or fz6,8,1 might be better. That said for a supersport the gsxr750 is not entirely uncomfortable. The most uncomfortable supersports in my opinion are the new zx6r.

how long have you been riding for? it's a lot of personal preference, highway riding or more twisties? how tall are you? see if any of your friends would let you try riding one of theirs and compare if that's an option and go with whichever you're most comfortable with

I would start by asking how long you have been riding, what types of bikes have you ridden, etc.

If this is your first bike I can save you some trouble and say don't go new, buy one that someone has already put money into on mods because
they are damn expensive Also speaking from experience it doesn't take much to go down on a bike, or in my case rear-end a car in bumper to bumper traffic

That being said, I'd go for price and looks!
So the R6 wins in both those areas.

I have a 2011 R6 and I don't find it all that uncomfortable. I took a 2 day, 850 mile trip on it last fall and wasn't in any pain like bikes I've had in the past

In my opinion gsxr's are the most comfortable stock sport bike, that said i would still never buy one

but i've only ridden a CBR 600 RR and GSXR-600 (Katana doesn't count but was the most comfortable)

I do agree that the gsxr are super comfortable but I'm only 5'7"

I've had a GSXR600 and GSXR750. Personally I like the extra low end power of the 750. Some might ask, "Why not just get the GSXR1K then?" but to that I answer, "I don't need the lower gas mileage and additional insurance premium for power I will never appreciate."

That's comparing the engines of 3 motors by the same manufacturer. In your case, I would compare the GSXR600 to the R6 and decide which is the winner in looks and comfort. If the GSXR wins, then think about the 750 instead.

Agreed, I kick myself for getting the 600 and not the 750
