You leave him out of this!
Seriously though, how are you guys getting these low rates. With Geico I pay $600 a year and that's with my MSF instructor discount. No recent tickets, no recent accidents etc. I do have high coverage but even liability only coverage the premium was $99 if I remember right.

Get a quote with Progressive. They were 1/2 as expensive as Geico for me.
Probably doesn't help that you live near Boston, though.

I literally told you.
1. shop around every few years.
2. pick the lowest rate you are comfortable with.
3. there is no step 3.
Re: 2021 insurance thread
Every time I've shopped around the savings wasn't enough for me to bail on my local agent and the relationship we've built over decades.
As others have said, rates aren't everything. Once there's a claim in the mix you might as well have bought insurance at the Dollar Store for the "service" you get from some companies. Some people are comfortable navigating those waters and others are better off having a little more help. To each their own, but I've learned that the cheapest is rarely the best option for most things in life.

I don't think those here are talking about your 1963 policy.

zip code
age
I don't care how good your driving record is, most accidents happen within 25 miles of home. How many idiot drivers reside in that circle ?

Re: 2021 insurance thread
insurance is a zero sum game. you either pay upfront for service with a smile or play the long game and find cheap service for as long as you can. if you do the math and figure you will have one major accident every 18 years, which is the average for the US, and compare it to 18 years of say, $500 more in insurance per year, you can see how cheaper is better for some people. saving 9k over 18 years and having to haggle with a stupid cartoon character seems worth it to me.

Got it. You didn’t need our help after all.
